剧情简介

　　故事发生在印若洲例新西兰一个独特的小镇，以一个失常的家庭为中心，影片由一个未成年人的故事，回家讲吸齐差工呀的故事以及古怪的哥特故事三部分构成。 听闻父亲死讯，一名享誉国际的战地记国黄远终住史假者保罗(马修麦克费狄恩)从欧洲赶回家乡参加葬礼，这是十七年来头一回踏上纽西兰故乡的土地，他的到访震惊到断族史的不政谁了兄长安德鲁，个性村斤讨好如过断有天壤之别的两人只差没形同雷镇露就需敌倍陌路。安德鲁是名虔诚的信徒亚坚都备欢粮，在半胁迫的态度下要求保罗留下料理父亲遗产善后，于是密吃点章复重还落保罗来到父亲杰夫生前最爱去的秘密小屋，一个珍藏文学、美酒及哲学思考的藏书阁，当他开始清算遗物时，竟意外发现……

角色介绍

　　鲍尔(马修·麦克费登 Matthew Macfadyen 饰)这十几年来第一次踏上故乡的土地，他来这里不为了别的，只为了参加父亲的葬礼。作为鲍尔的兄长，安德鲁(科林·莫伊 Colin Moy 饰)对于兄弟的来访却并不高兴，时间使人们变得陌生，迥异的个性又为他们制造了矛盾。在安德鲁的强烈要求下，鲍尔来到了父亲曾经呆过的小屋，清算父亲留下的遗产，没想到，在小屋里，鲍尔遇见了一位名叫西莉亚(艾米丽·巴克雷 Emily Barclay 饰)的少女。
